Spring 2023 Retreat

Amber Johnson from Gigi’s Thimble a great inspiration and teacher of her Positive Vibes pattern. She also shared tips and tricks for selecting low volume prints. Did you know…there aren’t quilt police? We can abandon our preconceived notions and use what we have and what we like. What a concept, right??!!

Positive Vibes

This may be a messy representation, but we made A LOT of “Positive Vibes” blocks. This isn’t even ALL that were completed…as we ran out of room on the design wall. Several baby size quilts were finished…many tips and tricks shared, AND a good time was had by all.

2023 Challenge Quilt: Traverse

by Tara Faughnan

We are thrilled to announce our challenge quilt for the year: TRAVERSE!! This vibrant quilt will give us plenty of opportunity to fine tune our quilting skills as we focus on new techniques with each row.

2022 Charity Project

For 2022, we selected Youth Futures as our charity project. We completed and donated 22 quilts to our this St. George home. Youth Futures provides safe shelter, collaborative resources, respectful guidance and diverse support to homeless, unaccompanied, runaway and at-risk youth. They provide overnight shelter, drop-in services, street outreach, and so much more. It was our pleasure to share with this amazing resource to local youth.

Patchwork Duffle

Spring Retreat Projects

We had a great time customizing our maker mats to our own style and size to fit our individual machine needs! So much talent and creativity at work. We also had great SWAG, snacks, and Easter Egg prizes.
